Treatment Plan Rules
Once a treatment plan is ended or deactivated it cannot be reopened, a new treatment plan will have to be created.
Treatment Plan Summary
This can be found in the drop down list under the Treatments Plans tab and also in the Clinical Details tab. It shows a list of each different diagnosis that has been treated within INRstar.
Adding a Warfarin treatment plan
In the patient's record click on and then on .
In click the button.
Here you will need to fill in the clinical details.
Warfarin Patients
FAQ : Why are we are unable to select the warfarin Max Review Period up to 84 days?
A: 70 days is our default Max Review Period but it can be changed for up to 84 days. Each site or group of sites has a location clinical lead that can change clinical settings within in the program. If you are unsure who is your clinical lead please ask your practice manager or your CCG contact if part of a group.
Edit Treatment Plan
In the patient's record click on and then on .
When there are INR treatments recorded since the start date of the current treatment plan by clicking , changes can be made to all fields except the start date and the diagnosis.
If you need to change the diagnosis click New Treatment Plan. If no INR treatments have been entered against the current treatment plan, the diagnosis can be changed by clicking Edit Treatment Plan.
When a patient has completed their treatment plan, they should only be deactivated if they are no longer being anticoagulated.
For example, a patient may be on Warfarin for a DVT for 3 months. Several years later that patient may be diagnosed with Atrial Fibrillation and be put onto Warfarin indefinitely. You will now be able to specify a treatment plan for each of those episodes.
This feature will enable users to view a clearer history of diagnosis changes and associated treatments for each patient.
You can now edit the Treatment Plan details as well as see their treatment plan history under Treatment Plan Summary.
If your patient is on Warfarin you will be required to fill in extra details under Warfarin Details, Tablet Selection and Print Preferences.
After you finished editing the treatment click 'Save'.
